Jacque went to see Dr. Howard Carrico on Oneawa Street in Kailua. She had to get her teeth cleaned.

New Karate Kid

I'm not big on watching a movie in a packed theater but guess what we did today? The venue was the Mililani megaplex and the movie was the remake of Karate Kid. Instead of Pat Morita and that skinny haole kid as teacher and pupil, the remake featured Jackie Chan and Wil Smith's son as T & P. This was opening day in Hawaii for the flick hence the packed house. An enjoyable time by the Turners, despite the crowd.

Happy 6th

On this day six years ago, Jacque and I were baptized into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

OYM!

We arose at 4:30 to get dressed to attend the 6 a.m. session at temple. Wonderful 45-minute drive to Laie. There is something beautiful about cruising along the windward Oahu coast in the early-morning. This is one of our favorite things to do. In what may be a surprise to some, the temple is (reverently) abuzz, even at 5:30 in the morning. The 6 ayem session is often filled to capacity (~40). As we often do, we stop at McDonald's to pick up some take-out breakfast afterward. Elders Lords and Wedon stopped by in the pm. They challenged us to OYM to share the Gospel with others. See DC 35:12 . We will work on this challenge!
